Watching the movie Breaking Away is always a surreal experience. It’s like, “Ooh, I was there the other day!” or “Say, that’s my friend’s street!” Good times, good times.
Someday I’ll be able to listen to “The Spirit of Jazz” by The Gaslight Anthem again.
“Was I good to you, the wife of my youth?
Not another soul could love you
like my rotten bones do.
So I will wait on the edges in between
these New York streets
where you and I would meet.”
“Hell,” I said, “I love you enough now. What do you want to do? Ruin me?”
“Yes. I want to ruin you.”
“Good,” I said. “That’s what I want too.” —Ernest Hemingway (via heroic-dose)
