This has been the most batshit crazy week of my entire life and I’m so okay with that because
1. I got a part in a show and will be making bank this summer
2. We leave for Boston to see Korinne bright and early tomorrow morning
3. I successfully moved everything out of my dorm before 1:30 am
and
4. Even though a lot of friends won’t be in my life for a couple months, I couldn’t be happier because I truly have met the greatest people in the world this year.
WOOO SOPHOMORE STATUS HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE
Existential Crisis Day 35:
I’m just now figuring out that just because I don’t understand something, it doesn’t mean it’s bad. That sounds very basic Sesame Street, but it’s easier said than done, especially when you’re so opinionated, like me.
Like the old dude who handed me a Bible today. I thought I should be offended…
Amen sister. And I think it’s great that they’re doing it right now with all the hatred being spewed by Brother Jed on our campus. Even if I’m not a practicing Christian, it’s a nice reminder that people can be peaceful and tolerant while sharing their beliefs.
This is a link to the Facebook page for my first college show- When the Rain Stops Falling by Andrew Bovell. It is one of the most beautiful shows I have ever read, and I am so proud and excited to be a part of it. If you are anywhere near Bloomington, Indiana, or love theatre, you should definitely check it out.
This is absolutely one of my favorite plays. And with the lovely Emma involved, it’s bound to be amazing. Don’t miss it!!
I had ten minutes until the Union Street Market closed and an insatiable chocolate craving. I think that I came back with quite a haul.
I’m so happy. This university is unbelievably beautiful and I am so fortunate to be going to school here.
:D
The absolute final adjustments to my schedule!
Mon, Wed, Fri: Theatrical Production, Religions of Asia, Icon & Axe: Russian History to 1861
Tue, Thur- A Brief Survey of Calculus, Acting 1 for Majors
Also, voice lessons for non-music majors and university choral ensemble. (Singing Hoosiers hopefully!)
YUSSSSSSS
Today included: a rocking opening of The True Story of the Three Little Pigs; The Musical, Doctor Who with my 11 year old cousin who has bigger feet than me, a super responsive audience at Damn Yankees, Taste of Bloomington with one of my best friends and two new ones (3 Baked cookies for a dolla! Holla!), and then showing off my campus. This is a summer well spent.
Just finished my academic planning thing-a-majig for IU freshman orientation tomorrow.
I don’t know what I’ll end up with, but such hopefuls are “Hollywood I”, “Medical Science of Psychoactive Drugs”, and “Medieval Heroes”. Who knows what the future may hooooooold!!
First day of rehearsal! The director made us all white chocolate snout pops. I might be more pumped for the kids show than the legit one…
SO I got assigned to a single dorm for next year without any extra charge. Whhhaaaaaaat? All the ridiculous decorations I want! I’m not in any of the popular dorms, but I’m really looking forward to it. And for a third of the cost of my friend’s single dorm? Chyah.
Oh, and I’m graduating tomorrow.
MUST SLEEP. I CAN GROW UP LATER.
