Okay I’ve spent too much time standing in a sawdusty rehearsal space this past week. Maybe it’s affecting my cognitive abilities. Wizard of Oz is also going super duper well though!
The Bad Seed- 1956
One of my absolute favorite movies/plays of all time. This is what a thriller film should be!
Here we see Christine discovering her angel of a daughter is a sociopath.
Well I just watched Star Wars: A New Hope for the first time and that was exciting but then I got my first college textbooks and LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA AND THE ENTIRE CAST OF IN THE HEIGHTS are on my theatrical design book. I will never be sad in that class.
p.s. I really liked Star Wars.
Just finished reading How I Learned to Drive and The Mineola Twins by Paula Vogel. The first was unsettling but extremely well written all the same. IU did it a couple years and I heard it was a great production, but I’m happy I got to read it first because the shock value didn’t distract as much from the story. A great play, just with a sensitive subject matter.
The next is a satire about the baby boom generation and the extremely different lifestyles of two twins. It was hilarious and definitely one I need to see live sometime in the future!
First day of rehearsal! The director made us all white chocolate snout pops. I might be more pumped for the kids show than the legit one…
Backstage
The fly rail is my new home at the Indiana Festival Theatre. Tech is surprisingly fun and rewarding and it’s nice to experience a different side of something I love. Plus, I’m going to be so buff at the end of this show no one will recognize me!
Eleven and a half hour day at the theatre school tomorrow. WOOOOOOOO!!!!
Alto’s Lament- My final solo of high school!
A surprise for our friend at her graduation. We personalized “Bring Me Little Water Silvy” and there were many tears…
